A small rocky strip of land sits between the Torvald river to
the south and a large earthen rampart. A large iron gate sits in
the wall here. The gate occasionally opens to let forth a
screaming horde of frost giant berserkers. Other soldiers can be
seen behind the rampart, heaving large boulders at a black stone
wall on the other side of the river. Dead frost giants litter
the terrain. Many have holes blasted through their torsos; some
are charred almost beyond recognition. The strip of land runs
parallel to the rampart to the east. The top of a frozen
waterfall is to the west.

A Large Iron Gate Set in an Earthen Rampart
A huge thirty foot tall gate has been set into the earthen
rampart here, and provides the only exit from the camp. Giants
on either side of the gate frequently pick up a rock from a large
pile at the base of the rampart and heft it over the walls. The
gate opens at infrequent intervals to let out fearsome frost
giant berserkers, who attempt to storm an enemy encampment across
the river. The gate rarely opens to let anyone in; defeat in
battle is not tolerated. The rampart to the east comes close to
a large rock outcropping, and to the west the rampart continues
to a large camp of tents.

A huge rampart built of dirt and rock surrounds the camp.
However it curves slightly and comes to an end here. Small
boulders and rocks lie in great piles at the base of the wall. A
few giants lie dead or injured but are summarily ignored by their
comrades. Several frost giants occasionally reach over, grab a
boulder, and heft it over the wall; however the wall is too high
to see what their target is from here. A narrow trail runs along
the base of the rampart. Frost giants sporadically come in from
a camp at the western end of the wall replace any of the fallen.
Several huge frost giants guard an imposing mithril gate to the
north. An iron gate leads out of the camp west of here.

attempts to pass. Some awesome power must be at work here to
make the normally chaotic frost giants so orderly. South of here
frost giants are heaving boulders over a earthen rampart.
