stands this magnificent monument of massive jade, winged, serpent, as it
twists up around a marble spire towards the heavens, thirty feet in the
air. The serpent statue is of a celestial wyrm, a benefactor of the empire
and namesake of the city. The monument is one of the many wonders of Jade
and a pride of their craftsman and artisans, as well as a reminder of the
strength and courage of the people and their culture.

The Palisades
The palisades consist of a large plaza and walkway that surround the
palace on three sides, much like a large and busy courtyard. Constructed
much like the plaza, with green-hued tiles and an exhorborant ammount of
plants and flowers it is just another example of the beauty and majesty
of the Jade Empire. The central palisades make up the area where the
gates of the palace are located and run directly north to a sizable
temple built out on the ocean coastline. The walls of the palace
themselves are only feet away.

The Western Thoroughfare
The Western Thoroughfare runs the entire length of the city from the
Grand Plaza to the ocean coastline in the north end. Along the entire
street there is a wall constructed on the western side that separates
the main city from the rice fields and the wilds. The thoroughfare is
not quite as elaborately decorated as other streets in Jade, but still
is well-kept and clean, and extremely busy most of the time. The royal
palatial palisades lie to the east.

The Western Thoroughfare
The Western Thoroughfare runs the entire length of the city from the
Grand Plaza to the ocean coastline in the north end. Along the entire
street there is a wall constructed on the western side that separates
the main city from the rice fields and the wilds. The thoroughfare is
not quite as elaborately decorated as other streets in Jade, but still
is well-kept and clean, and extremely busy most of the time. The royal
palatial palisades lie to the east and to the west is the sole gate
that seperates the city from the wilds.
Obvious exits: -North -East -South -West #

The Palace Gates
The palace gates lie east here, and are protected by several samurai
guards. Surrounded on three sides by the palisades, the palace itself
rises up like some great totem, each floor represented on the outside by
green-silken awnings that shade the outdoor area. The gates themselves
have been constructed of emerald and reinforced with steel and when lock-
ed would probably be imprenatrable. Though most everyone is allowed to
come and go inside the palace itself, only a select handful are ever
allowed audience with the Emperor.

The Main Floor of the Palace
This is the main floor and entrance hall of the grand palace. To trans-
late it loosely, the full name would be something along the lines of The-
Supreme-Center-Of-Heaven-And-Wind-On-Earth, as the citizens of Jade enjoy
adding much grandeur to their titles. All of the city is kept in pristine
condition, full of splendor and elegance to an excess, and the palace here
is no exception. The gates of the palace, leading back to the palisades are
just to the west.
