a chill to it, since the majority of the path is in the shadow of either the
wall or the buildings, depending on the time of day.  The road is clean and
well-maintained, with very few signs of wear and tear.  The stone of the road
is comprised of small, well rounded rocks of various shades of gray.

made with wood that has become weak and rotted with age.  Others have begun
to collapse and lack sections of their pointed, black shingled rooves.

The Jade Harbor
   A yellow-brown bricked path leads to a walled area where is passes through
a pair of high, wooden gates.  The wall extends north and south, forming a
border between the city of Mitashi and its harbor.  Guard towers are spaced
along the wall, but look like they remain unmanned except in times of trouble.
To the west, the path continues for a bit, before it turns into a wide
range of docks made of wood, extending out into the waters of the bay.
East, the yellow-brown bricks extend in straight line to enter the heart of
the capital of the Jade Empire.

cartels who run the shady underworld of the city.  Hunted by the law, the
yakuza are criminals, but far from the "common" variety.  Just like the
kouhei swordmasters of the Empire, the yakuza place high importance on honor,
although they have a different code than the warriors of the Empire.

The Path of the Winds
   This path of yellow and brown bricks heads west-east and provides a main
path of travel from the city's docks near the waterfront.  Various small
domiciles line this road, mostly belonging to the dock workers and their
families.  The road itself it well upkept, but the homes are definitely not
in the best of shapes.  Many of the small houses and shacks are delapidated,
made with wood that has become weak and rotted with age.  Others have begun
to collapse and lack sections of their pointed, black shingled rooves.

   This wide road is made of flat tan stones, each an exact replica of one
another.  The stones are rectangular, roughly four inches wide and eight
inches long and are made from a mix of sand and clay.  The roads are
immaculately maintained.  No cracks, holes, or chips can be seen anywhere
on the entire stretch of the highway.  The road is called the Jade Highway
because of where it leads: the Palace of the Heavens, and certainly
not because of its coloration.   A long road made of yellow and brown bricks
leads to the west, off towards the city docks.
