   This elaborate entryway is a masterpeice that obviously
took years to complete.  Designed to depict the various
seasons that the lush plateau further down the mountain go
through.  This entryway has been envied by many a visiting
noble such is its quality.  The carving itself is done with
an ivory and gold, and is fitting for such a unique castle.

This small guarden is meant to offer a calming remedy to those
who are nervous about being entertained by the lord.  To the

Northern Castle Wall Road
   This roads primary function is to enable troops to move in
large numbers quickly and easily to any location around the
wall of the castle.  During peace time however they offer an
easy alternative to castle life.  Running the entire length of
the northern wall, this road covers every point of the northern
section of the castle.

Sturdy Iron Gates to the Du'Maathe Castle
   These sturdy iron gates have been intricately carved with runes
of strength.  Even though looking at their thickness would indicate
their natural power.  The gates however do not appear to have been
closed in some time, and the hinges from which they have been hung
are showing signs of rust and decay.

Drawbridge of the Du'Maathe Castle
   The drawbridge spans the polished stone chute below and gives
acess to the castle before you.  The drawbridge itself is as
impressive as the castle itself.  Made from solid oak and bound
with iron, gives it a feeling of being impenetrable.  The massive
chainlinks that lead to the lowering mechanism, are showing signs
of age and neglect.  Fittingly so, for the silence that seems to
emanate from the castle itself.

Before the Du'Maathe Castle Drawbridge
   The equivelent of a mote has been chiseled from the rock, and
is spanned by a great drawbridge.  Whilst there is no apparent
defense in the mote, on closer inspection one can see that the
mountain stone has been polished, removing any handholds.  Given
the angle of the chute that is formed, one can see the height of
the drop afford the unlucky.

A Steep Approach to the Du'Maathe Castle
   Here the angle of the slope has been altered in order to
increase to difficulty of movement, in the aid of defense.
Whilst it makes the climb difficult its advantages to the
defense of the castle are readily apparent.  From here the
castle walls cast a shadow across the path, and are fairly
ominus indeed, though there seems to be little movement from
the battlements above.

Below a Rock Strewn Plateau
   From this vantage point a small plateau can be seen jutting
out from the mountain side.  The approach the the plateau is
fairly steep, however it looks as though the plateau is a good
place to recoupe.  A chill mountain breeze can be seen blowing
some of the loose dust from its surface.

Beginning of a Rock Strewn Plateau
   The rocky climb leads on to a small plateau here.  It looks
as though the plateau was used as a place to rest up from the
fairly taxing climb up the mountian trial.  The plateau juts
out from the mountain side and looks as though affords some
view of the surrounds.
