In the Barreler's Shop
Bits and pieces of barrel planks lie scattered over the floor. In
one corner are a score of barrels stacked all the way to the ceiling.
The air is thick with saw dust making it hard to take a breath. The floor
is several inches thick with the curly shavings of wood. A man
is sitting here shaving a newly made barrel down to perfection.

This path leads towards the Forbidden Tower, home to the Baron.
Flanking this path is a pond full of colorful fish. Seperating the
pond and this path is brick layed perfectly, cut out of black marble.
Every few feet is a freshly planted maple tree. The not yet mature
tree sways gently in the soft breeze. To the east is a structure
built at the ponds edge. To the south the path continues. To the
north the path continues.

biting flies. Aside from a gnarled looking oak, nothing else is
here worthy of mention.

Thirteen ropes sway playfully in the wind. Empty for now until
the court deems it time. Part of a tree serves as a chopping block and
it looks as if it has seen plenty of action. Pieces of old and
rotting flesh are smashed into the hundreds of deep trenches cause
by the executioner's huge axe. Clumps and clods of old wretched
blood stick fast to this Svalich stump. The planks, of which this
platform is made, creak in time with the whistling ropes forming an
eerie melody.

The Bloodstone Courthouse
Old and and rather run down, this place does not seem to be used
very often. Cobwebs line the walls, and dust collects on the shelves
which house many books on law. The judges bench is partially
burned, so to is most of the furniture. The funiture that has not been
burned, or stolen, is heaped up into one corner of the courtroom.
Once a place where justice was handed down now appears to be a home
to the cities homeless and vagrants.

and flexes under the weight of its passengers but seems most capable of
handling the burden. The wind here is somewhat of a nuisance as it

back into your face. Above looks to be some type of level plateau.

torches send the glittery surface into fanciful delight. To the north
is a small pond of colorful fish. On the other side of the road is

Entrance to the Temple
A pair of large, gleaming steel gates stands open, mounted on a thick
granite wall. This is the main entrance to the multi-denominational temple
of worship, open to all who wish to give their thanks to their respective
deity. Flickering torches line the cold granite walls, lending light to
those who follow the dark path. A large courtyard can be seen to the north,
and the Lane of Pearls lays to the south.

Large Courtyard in the Temple
This is a large, cobblestoned courtyard, with a single, ill-tended
olive tree in the very center, with scant few branches still alive.
The courtyard is walled to the east and west by several buildings,
constructed from blocks of stark, gray granite. All of the doors and
windows have been barred, and well-locked from the inside; evidently,
security is a very important issue in this temple. Animal
dung lends a faint but noticeable aural stain to the air. The courtyard
continues to the north, and the gates lay to the south.

Large Courtyard within the Temple
This is a large, cobblestoned courtyard, each stone an ill-smoothed
lump of discard granite, pooryly set into the ground. Walking on this
surface is slightly treacherous, as each stone tends to wobble when trod
upon. The buildings that line this courtyard are all locked and barred
from within, save a single, open door to the west. A neglected arboretum
lies to the north, and the courtyard continues to the south.

In a Ruined Arboretum
This was once a fine stand of trees of the most luxuriant, shade
casting sort, but are now withered, gnarled, and extremely diseased.
They appear as if they are barely clinging to life. The walking
surface is little more than very damp, dank earth, strewn about with
ages of dead branches and the rather frequent deposit of animal dung.
The arboretum is fenced in on three sides by a stern, stark granite
wall, with the only exit lying south, to the courtyard.

some sort, but it is impossible to determine anything more, as all
possible methods of egress have benn barred from within, save a dank
staircase leading downwards, and the exit to the courtyard off to the

His eyes harden as he looks at you, almost as if he is deciding if
