This rocky ledge sits just along the inside of a massive spire, surrounded
in all directions ahead by a flow of blistering magma. This rocky facade
is most likely the closest distance that anyone might imagine to get
safely without some sort of magical protection. The ledge around this
portion of the spire exists in a slight slope, leading a bit further
downward the further clockwise it gets. There are several other huge
rock formations and spires jutting out in this deep, ancient area.

A Crumbling Spire Approach
This crumbling portion of the rocky ledge is on the southern face of the
central spire, by which the three bridges erect to the two cages and the
mithril stairs. Sitting in the shadow of the central spire, this crumbling
nook is quite dark and has seen very little life in its awesome existence.
The northern wall, although completely black and devoid of light, has a
strange warmth emanating from deep within.
The lava deep within the Shanatar Mountain city of Alatorin, warms the
rocks and cooks everything within it. The northern wall just resonates
with this natural heat.
