An aisle way here runs to the east directly behind a set of
finely carved pews. Small niches have been cut into the walls
here and within each is as a small golden figure. The figure
holds out its hands, clasping them together as if it is performing
and act of prayer. Some words are written just behind the
figure.

In a Hall of Splattered Walls

In a Confession Booth
This is a small wooden chamber, barely space enough for one human.
A quick spin around reveals nothing more than a solem wooden bench
built into the side of an intricatly carved panel. A window of mesh
sits center in the wooden panel through which nothing can be seen.
A small stick of wax flickers under your breath. The candle is held
by an iron candle arm which is firmly attached to the wooden wall.
A soothing aura fills the area.

In a Cobbled Courtyard.
A few chairs rest are scattered about, along with a number of
garden tools. Small weeds push their way up through the cracks
in the small cobble stone floor. The courtyard is completely
hidden from the sun's rays by what looks to be some type of
platform high above. A wooden door is to the south.

The garden here is all but abandoned, for not many plants can grow
in this soil. The cause of the problem lies in a newly erected
platform high above. The platform blocks out the sun's warm rays
which no longer feed the plants here. Withering vines of rotting
squash lay about in the shadow of the platform.

Fancy red bricks, each a square chunk of crimson, lay side by side
and are packed tightly together. The road is lined at each end with
small round stones. Each stone looks to have been washed and polished
as each is smooth and lustrous. High above to the west, the walls
of the cathedral loom. Just off to the east, is a grassy knoll.

Under a Granite Arch
Two pillars of stone shoot skywards and meet some seventy feet
above. Each massive arm lends support to the tall walls directly
behind. Coils of thorny vines wrap themselves tightly around each
column and have begun cracking the stone. Further back, a set of
stairs leads up to a huge wooden door. The door is studded, and
looks to have been reinforced with iron bars. A sign, layed with
brass lettering, hangs above the door.

At the Steps of Despair
A few steps of cold stone lead up to a gate of twisted iron.
The gate is set deep within a large wall of clay brick. All about
the top of the wall are tiny spikes, each a piece of sharpened wood firmly
planted into the once soft clay. Screams, both of delight and terror,
bound through the gate and roll on down the street. A litter
of bloody blankets lay off to one side of the steps. A dungy
looking rat is scouring the bloodied cloth for tasty tidbits such
as placenta meat or a spot of fresh syrup to lap up.

Inside the Gates of an Orphanage
A gate of cold rod iron opens up into the dreary landscape of
the Keep's orphanage. A path of crooked cobble leads up to a small
building. All around this yard are tangled reeds, each blade of
grass being no duller than the edge of a fine sword. A few toys
lay off to one side of the path, each broken and unwanted. Up a
bit, and off the path way slightly, is a huge pile of dirt. Scrawny
rats, each longing for the day that he or she might be adopted, roll
and tumble about the small mountain of earth. The high pitch ssshhrrrill
that each of thse bastards makes is clue enough to why they are here.
Above the gate are a few words cast in broken wood.

Inside a Cold Reception Hall
All around the floor are official looking papers scattered about
and in general disarry. A pair of charred logs smolder in a now
darkened fireplace. Across the room, pinned onto the wall is a
wooden marque which contain many of the orphans which live here.
The only source of light, is a single torch mounted just above
the fireplace. The torch illuminates the room with a faint
orange glow. The light is enough to see a door to the north and
another room to the east.

Though it is not readable from this distance, it is readily apparent
that there are a lot of names on it. A pair of rickety chairs stand

Inside a Cold Reception Hall
All around the floor are official looking papers scattered about
and in general disarry. A pair of charred logs smolder in a now
darkened fireplace. Across the room, pinned onto the wall is a
wooden marque which contain many of the orphans which live here.
The only source of light, is a single torch mounted just above
the fireplace. The torch illuminates the room with a faint
orange glow. The light is enough to see a door to the north and
another room to the east.

A dirt path winds through a delapitated courtyard forking off
in two directions. A bone dry fountain sits center among heaps of
dead foliage. A chilling wind decends into the courtyard, blowing
the dead leaves to and fro. Spinning circles in the wind, a piece
of dried parchment skips and hops over upturned cobble stone.

Inside the Gates of an Orphanage
A gate of cold rod iron opens up into the dreary landscape of
the Keep's orphanage. A path of crooked cobble leads up to a small
building. All around this yard are tangled reeds, each blade of
grass being no duller than the edge of a fine sword. A few toys
lay off to one side of the path, each broken and unwanted. Up a
bit, and off the path way slightly, is a huge pile of dirt. Scrawny
rats, each longing for the day that he or she might be adopted, roll
and tumble about the small mountain of earth. The high pitch ssshhrrrill
that each of thse bastards makes is clue enough to why they are here.
Above the gate are a few words cast in broken wood.

A few steps of cold stone lead up to a gate of twisted iron.
The gate is set deep within a large wall of clay brick. All about
the top of the wall are tiny spikes, each a piece of sharpened wood firmly
planted into the once soft clay. Screams, both of delight and terror,
bound through the gate and roll on down the street. A litter
of bloody blankets lay off to one side of the steps. A dungy
looking rat is scouring the bloodied cloth for tasty tidbits such
as placenta meat or a spot of fresh syrup to lap up.
