By A Huge Rock, In The Swamp
A huge rock has fallen from the trail above, revealing a passage
up into the mountains. Several foot prints can be seen in the mud of
the swamp around this area. In addition, several decaying corpses can
be seen of adventurers who have fallen down off the trail, like this
huge rock has done. This huge rock has not only left a huge crater, but
provided a place for several plants and insects to grow on.

The Back Of A Large Swamp
This swamp is a small pocket between the tower and the mountain range.
The only animals present in this swamp are a few large alligators, and a
few crows flying overhead. The shadow of the tower almost engulfs this
swamp, covering it in darkness. The swamp water reaches right up against
the base of the tower towards the south.

The swamp water reaches right up towards the tower here, and is
even deep enough to swim in, implying that there is some way to swim
down. Towards the north, the swamp continues until it hits the mountain
range. Towards the east and the west are alligator burrows. The majority
of the swamp is void of life, and covered in darkness by the tower, even
during the day.

The swamp water reaches down quite aways, until finally it hits a
small cave entrance underneath the tower towards the south. The surface
of the swamp lies upward. This area seems to be almost void of life, with
few fishes, and little alligator activity this deep into the water. There
seem to be few travellers who venture this far, however, there still remain
the decomposing corpses of travellers who have tried and drowned.

A Large, Slimy Cave
This large slimy cave is home to several kuo-toan, who can not live
in the dry enviornment of the tower, and need the swamp-like conditions.
This cave extends towards the south, while heading northward into the
swamp. The kuo-toan who live down here find it quite relaxing, and often
eat alligators that they catch in the swamp. This also serves as the
emergency exit of the tower.

Below a Mucky Pool
This slimy mucky pool is like a home to the kuo-toan, it reminds them
of their home, and is actually quite like their home. Guards have been
posted at each access point to the pool. These kuo-toan guards seem to
have found a new life and meaning working for the tower that they haven't
experienced elsewhere.

A Slimy Room Containing a Muck-Filled Pool
This slimy room is fairly large, and encompasses the eastern side of
the tower on the first level. The pool of muck is so thick that nobody
could see into it. The evidence around the area suggests that something
is lurking down in the pool, something unnatural. There appears to be
a kuo-toan guard, probably emoployed by the masters of the tower,
guarding the entrance to the pool.

This side hallway branches off from a small intersection towards the
west. This hallway seems to be used mainly by the apprentice and
iniates of the tower. This area is rarely luminated, with only the
occaisional dim torch. There are no rugs here, only a cold stone floor,
which is usually damp and unclean.

the tower. Towards the east and west run a couple small hallways,
while towards the north and south run the main hallway. The stairs
of the tower appear a short ways off to the north. This area seems to

of the tower goto their respective rooms on the lower levels, the higher
level raiders march through here daily towards the stairs.

This appears to be the punishment room for those of the order that
have screwed their raidings for the last time. All sorts of punishment
and torture devices are hung up around the room. From chains, whips,
to the dreaded rack, everyone fears making a mistake when on a raid
with the elders of the tower. There is a very strong looking human
standing in the room, administerring the punishment.

This room is a bloody mess of dead boddies and ravaged corpses. The
great warbeast of the tower rests in this room devouring the corpses as
they are thrown to it. There is a large steal door preventing people
from wandering in here by accident. This beast appears to feed on the
remains of the trainees who don't make it past the training room.

The First Floor Guard Room
The guard of the first floor has been given this small,
closet-sized room. The first floor guard appears to be a
troll of some occupation. This room is barely big enough for
this troll to live in, and is frequently seen roaming the
hallways instead of staying in his crampt room. The walls of
the room are solid rock, and there are some furs in the corner
for the troll to sleep on. In addition, there are several
corpses of various races that the troll has eaten.

background of a treacherous mountain range. The gates themselves appear
to be made of a black-steel type ore and seem to have taken heavy

he apparently is using no weapon. The tower seems to be blocking passage
into the mountains, leaving the only directions north into the tower, or
south back on to the trail.

field of deadness blankets the surroundings.

This dark stairwell lies directly north of the main entrance of the
tower and through the hallway. It appears to be the restricting point
for all of the evil human monks and anti-paladins who have joined the
crusade of the evil races. Beyond this point, however, only the larger
trolls, ogres, and others maybe pass. There are several large guards
here guarding this steel stairwell.

The Second Floor Foyer
This foyer of the second floor of the great tower is rather plain and
simple. Stairs leading towards the first floor lie dowward, while hallways
intersect at this point. The stairs to the third floor appears a ways

A Gloomy Hallway
This gloomy hallway extends northward from the second floor foyer. This
section of the tower appears to be the spellcasting training area, and
studies associated within that genre of skills. This area is much cleaner
than the first floor, and hardly any trolls or ogres are allowed down this
hallway, except for the burly ogre guard. To the east and west lie different
study rooms for the students.
