A Dark Pit of Mud
The tunnel suddenly opens up into a chamber which one can stand
upright in, and aren't pressed against the walls. The endless attack
from the roots has abated and one can only hear them now, moving in
the darkness, waiting for the foolish traveler to return. The walls
of the tunnel pulse with a dim magical light. Carved into the dirt
walls you are many fiery, blue runes of magic, placed around the room;
symbols of warding. A group of adventurers must have made it this far
to safeguard the room against the power of the oak tree cottage. The
whole room is filled with warring magic powers: the runes fighting off
the affects of the cottage, the cottage trying to destroy the barriers
erected within its domain. On the wall above a rotting corpse a
message can be seen, scrawled into the wall along with the runes, To
the east there is an eerie green glow of light, leading into another
chamber.
A soothing aura fills the area.
This area seems to be exceptionally narrow!
