The Lightning Breath Bar
This large cavern appears to be a bar where storm giant warriors meet to
exchange tales of recent battles. Large stone stools sit beneath large
granite tables. The tables having been chiseled until the are almost perfectly
round. Small circular grooves along the table cut into the granite so that the
tankards of ale do not slide off onto the rocky floor. A large slab of rock
sits at the far corner of the room. The rock serving as a counter in which a
lone storm giant serves his drinks. A large iron pot behind the bar is filled
with a brewing concoction that is served to the patrons visiting the bar.

The Thundercloud Inn
This large cavern appears to have been carved directly into the side of the
mountain. Within the cavern numerous caves can be seen. The caves being
individual rooms where traveling merchants retire in privacy for the night. As
one peers directly overhead they notice that there is no ceiling in the
cavern. Instead one has a clear view to the thunder clouds that engulf the
entire city. The arcs of lightning racing across the sky providing a visual
light show for any weary traveler. A single counter of stone stands in the
far corner of the room. Large mithril keys hanging from wooden pegs unlock the
gates that bar the vacant rooms. A small pit filled with thick burning
branches sits in the middle of the room. The flame rising up to lick the spit
of goat meat skewered across its top. The smell filling the room with a sweet
and pleasant aroma.

A Stone Path Atop the Mountain
This twisted path leads north toward some large stone buildings. As one
gazes in that direction the stone buildings appear to be large obilisks
carved from the mountain itself. The structures rising from the rocky plateau
to stand defiantly against the skyline. The rolling thunderclouds often
respond with arcs of lightning that race across the sky striking the very tips
of the buildings. The road is comprised of smooth flat rocks that have been
set into the hard stone at precise angles. A smooth black mortar fills the
eges of the stone making it appear as though the path is actually a road.
To the east a large building is visible. The amount of traffic going in and
out of the stone doors would leave one to believe it is some sort of inn or
dining establishment.

Climbing a Rocky Plateau
The road is angled slightly and twists and turns its way through a series
of valleys and peaks. Mounted on the stone walls that border the road are
large glass lanterns. The reddish-orange flame burning within the lanterns
cast a bright light across the road. A single large thundercloud lingers
overhead. The cloud casting a deep shadow across the area and if not for the
light provided by the lanterns, it would be difficult to walk through the
area as small boulders jut up from the roadway providing obstacles that
must be navigated. One realizes that it would be difficult to bring a cart
and wagon through this pass. The roadway makes a light turn to the east
at this point but appears to level off.

High in the Storm Cloud Peaks
Although a majority of the valley of Stragthor rests toward the southeast,
this area is claimed by the high council of storm giants. Thier grand mansions
lie just to the north overlooking a large grassy plateau that lies in the
midst of the snow covered peaks. The road leading toward the high councils
mansion are scattered with numerous boulders that jut from the ground like
small fingers. The boulders designed as a guard should any of the great war
machines breach the main walls and attempt to lay seige to this section of
Stragthor. A heavy, dark cloud, lingers just overhead. The fierce wind that
blows through the valley can be screaming with a high pitched wail as it
roams over and under the crevices along the road.

Traveling Through Snow Covered Peaks
Small boulders jut from the road to block any carts or wheeled war machines
that should happen to breach the main walls of the valley. Along the side of
the road are piles of hardened snow. The snow having been pushed to make the
roadway clear for any travelers heading toward the high councils mansions. As
one looks out from where they now stand, barely visible over the snow drifts
is a clear view of Strgthor, valley of the snow giants. The valley appears to
have been excavated from the peaks of large mountains. Large stone bridges
with high arches can be seen linking one mountain peak to the next. A large
storm cloud swirls overhead. Ever so often a bright flash of lightning flashes
across the sky followed quickly by a thunderous grumble.

This stone bridge, arched high into the air, provides the only link to the
next mountain peak. As one stands to peer over the edge of the bridge they
realize just how high the peaks stand. Expecting to see a rocky ground, the
bottom of the bridge, about two hundred feet down is obscurred in clouds.
Overhead a billowing thunder cloud rumbles angrily sending bolts of lightning

Before the Chamber of the High Council
Carved into the side of the mountain is a large mansion. Tall spires of
twisting granite columns rise up from the ground to flank a large granite
door. The columns intricately engraved to resemble tall trees. The branches
twisting around the columns before spreading out to form an arch overhead.
Large stone flowers hang from the granite vines, the small roots on the
surface of the leaves clearly visible as whomever the craftsman was took
great care in his artistry. The building appears to be at least two stories
high and is comprised of blocked granite. The high council which only meets in
times of war, indicate that Stragthor, the valley of the storm giants is
preparing its citizens for the battles to come.

A Twist in the Rocky Road
The rocky road twists at this point taking both a westerly and southern
route. To the south one notices that the road is littered with small obilisks
that just up from the center and edges of the road. The rocky mounds appear to
be some sort of barricade erected by the storm giants as a defensive
precaution. To the west the road approaches what appears to be a large stone
dwelling. The dwelling appears to stand by itself with no other structures
nearby. A high arched stone bridge immediately to the west appears to provide
the only link from this section of the mountain to the next.

Crossing a Stone Bridge
Arching high into the air, this stone bridge links the mountain peak to the
east with the peak just to the north. A bollowing thunder cloud lingers just
over ones head. Any who cross the bridge would assume that the next strike of
lighting would singe the hair of ones head for the bridge, at its center, arcs
just below the bottom of the nearest cloud. From this vantage point one is
provided a clear view of the surrounding area. A grassy plateau is visible to
the north. Goats and cattle can be seen grazing through the area. To the
southwest stands a large mansion constructed of stone. The mansion being the
high councils chamber. To the north lies another large dweeling. As one
approaches the entrance they realize that it is the castle of King Straag,
ruler of the Storm Giants.

Standing Before the Mansion of King Straag
Rising up from the base of the peak stands a large stone mansion. One would
assume that as the storm giants excavated the peaks of the surrounding
mountain ranges, that the large granite stones pulled from the ground were
hauled here to construct this dwelling. Open windows can be seen at varying
levels of the mansion. There are no glass windows nor coverings and instead
the occupants have a clear view of the surrounding area. As one stands at this
vantage point and gazes at the path just traveled they notice that this peak
stands much higher than the surrounding area. A clear view of the valley is
provided allowing one to simply watch the ongoings of daily life. There is no
door to the mansion only a set of mystical runes etched into the dark granite
of the walls surface.

A Grand Foyer Carved of Stone
This grand room appears to have been carved from the inside of a large
cavern within the mountains. Along the walls, intricately carved, are stone
statues resembling giants. The statues are in various stages of combat and
often fighting large dragons on some distant mountain top. Strangely enough,
as though a resemblance to Stragthor, a large billowing thundercloud hovers
over each of the scenes of battle. Bolts of lightning rain down from the sky
to strike the hoards of dragons engaged in combat with the storm giant
warriors. The room itself appears to be nothing more than another
connecting chamber leading deeper into the dwelling of King Straag.

day to day life along a harbor city. Running in a narrow strip along the floor

A Large Oval Chamber
Opening up from the hallway to the east and west is this large oval
chamber. The room appears to have been excavated from the surrounding
mountainside. Its walls smoothed and chiseled so that they take on the
unnatural appearance of hardened wood. Overhead, lingering in the center of
caverns ceiling is a large ball of faerie fire. The magical enchantment
casting a pulsating glow about the room. The array of dancing shadows giving
the room a vibrant, pulsating appearance. Stone statues are visible in wide
recesses along the side walls. The statues depict storm giant fighters in
various suits of armor, each dressed and prepared for war.

Weaving its way through the interior of the palace, this long hallway
appears to open up into a large chamber just to the east. Mounted along the
walls of the hall are fine oil paintings that one would expect to see in the
mansions of Tharnadia. In the space between the paintings are large reed
torches. The torches, having been dipped in a flammable liquid, burn with an
intense flame. A thin mithril sheet around the edge of the torches shields
the paintins from the intense heat of the flames. The light radiating from the
torches is enough to fully illuminate the room.

As one enters the throne room of King Straag they are quickly strucken with
awe at the wondrous elegance created by the storm giants. A tall throne of gold
stands inthevery center of the room. The walls, a dark granite stone with
thick mithril veins, rise up forming a domed cathedral. As one peers up at the
very center of the ceiling, at the point in which it forms the dome, they
notice that the ceiling is made of glass. Through the glass one sees the very
center of a raging thunderstorm. Gazing back down the the golden throne, one
notices that the throne sits atop four steps. The marbled floor etched with
intricate runes so that the subjects of Stragthor, no matter their height,
will always be beneath King Straag.

Within an Elegant Bedroom
A large wooden bed sits in the middle of the room. The vibrantly colored
sheets atop the bed appear as though they are silk. A thin layer of laced
fabric is sewn along the edge of the sheets. The headboard is comprised of a
large mirror inlaid with shiny silver along its edges. Small vines and flowers
are engraved into the silver giving it an upscale appearance. Sitting to the
side of the bed is a large oak drawer. Small bottles of herbs and spice sit
atop the drawer, used by the rooms occupants in their quest to add fragrance
to their body odor. A thick red rug, oval in shape, sits neatly beneath the
