This area is nothing less than incredible. A vast room with high ceilings,
caryatid columns of angelic and cherubic figures, golden furniture trimmings
and lavish rugs and draperies. The pervasive heat of the palace has been
subdued here, as Kossuth has obviously taken great care to treat his
most honored guests well. Several servants move about the area, tending to
the needs of the gathered guests. A fountain of beautifully crafted marble
spills crystal clear liquid down from its crest. The fountain lies upon the
eastern side of the area, away from the main furnishings where emissaries and
other dignitaries can gather.

The hallway closes in a bit here, as a security checkpoint has been setup
before a large doorway within the eastern wall. The rest of the corridor
to either end of the checkpoint is much the same as the rest. There is an
odd coolness to the air here, as if the heat were being canceled out by some
other force. The floor is marked with heavy signs of traffic in the area
leading into the area behind the eastern door.

The already intense heat is taken up another notch here as the charcoal
substance that makes up the palace begins to glow a dusky red in color. It
appears that the higher reaches of the palace actually are consumed with more
heat than the lower layers. Each caryatid pillar that holds up the curved
roof of this corridor appears as a gradient of color and heat; the higher
the material making up the pillar, the brighter red it glows. The corridor
bends considerably back to the east upon its northern side, but runs true
as it continues southwards.

The already intense heat is taken up another notch here as the charcoal
substance that makes up the palace begins to glow a dusky red in color. It
appears that the higher reaches of the palace actually are consumed with more
heat than the lower layers. Each caryatid pillar that holds up the curved
roof of this corridor appears as a gradient of color and heat; the higher
the material making up the pillar, the brighter red it glows. The corridor
leads off to the west, as well as the east.
An evil aura fills the area.
