This steep passage leads down to the caverns of the underdark and
climbs gradually upward toward the surface. The tunnel has clearly seen
heavy use as it has been cleared of all stalagmites and other debris, and
has been widened in some places in order to be allow passage of wagons and
carts. The heavy traffic has also gotten rid of most of the more
dangerous creatures that would often plague a tunnel such as this.

the passageway has it heads upward to the surface and downwards into the
underdark. Ruts in the stone show that heavy carts have been taken up and

flourescent lichen that cling to the walls.

A wide, steep tunnel dives downward toward the underdark here. The
passageway is wide and well-tended, and marked with the ruts of heavy
carts that have passed through here. A heavy stone door is right above,
presumably exiting the tunnel to the surface. Metal chains along the
southern wall hint at a complex mechanism of some sort that must be used
to move carts and crates from the tunnel to the room above.

ago and has created a perfect, hidden harbor for the docking and unloading
of ships. Once a pirate's haven, the port has been taken over by the
Darvanu mercenary house, one of the most powerful organizations in the
world. Ships carrying both legal and illegal goods now land here whenever
they please. While in port the ships are safe from attack, once they
leave they are on their own. The stone walkways of the docks continue to
the east and west.

A rocky overhang above makes even this wide entrance into the mountains
somewhat hidden and difficult to find. It is clear that a number of large
wagons have traveled this path before, and that it is still in heavy use.
A trail heads out of the mountains to the north and a large cavern is to
the south.

Broad Street is the single major road that passes through the cavern
that encloses the buildings and shops of Quietus Quay. It is wide enough
for wagons and large cargoes to be transported through with relative ease.
The wide entrance to the cavern lies just to the north, and Broad Street
continues to the south.

Broad Street
Broad Street is the single major road that passes through the cavern
that encloses the buildings and shops of Quietus Quay. It is wide enough

Another street wanders off into the cavern as it extends to the east,
winding past a number of small stone buildings. The exit to the cavern
lies further to the north.

Smooth stone floors here are coated with some sort of thin green lichen
that has a faint luminescence to it. A small fountain has been placed
here in the square, the splashing water seems to be what supports the
growth of the lichen. A small, nameless road winds off to the east
through the cavern and the main road through the cavern to the port lies
to the west.

This nameless path passes through Quietus Quay winding through small
stone buildings and open-roofed shacks. Many of the buildings look far
sturdier than they should need to be when protected from the elements by
the surrounding cavern. A small shack lies to the north and an open door
leads into a sturdy stone building to the south.

The wooden walls support no ceiling, simply provide a little bit of
privacy for whoever lives here. Three small cots line the eastern wall,
and are seemingly the only pieces of furniture here. The people living
here must store their money and spare clothing someplace else because
there aren't even any dressers or chests here for storing anything.
