Imperial Watch. The room is extremely clean and well organized and the
walls are made from treated wood designed to resist the effects of water
and age. Movable interior walls made of bamboo frames and thin paper
allow the warriors some measure of privacy, while also allowing them
to be moved out of the way for training or sparring sessions held here.
While the interior may be spartan, there is a feeling of purpose and
quiet solitude to the building that would appeal to a dedicated and
honor-bound warrior of the Jade Empire.

Inside the Gates of Mitashi
This area stands just inside the solid city walls and acts as a checkpoint
for traffic entering and leaving the city. Guards dressed in the greens
and blues of the Imperial Guard patrol the vicinity, searching for any signs
of trouble. More guards stand atop the red brick walls, each carrying a
shortbow to deal with threats on the ground. The main city road continues
to head directly south into the heart of the city and smaller paths
branch off to the west and east, following the interior of the city walls.

Outside the Gates of Mitashi, the Jade City
Mitashi is a wide, sprawling city surrounded by high walls of red brick
and gray mortar. The walls are fifteen feet in height and wide enough so
that guards can easily keep watch over the countryside by walking along
the top. At equal intervals around the capital city of the Jade Empire,
wooden towers rise up above the walls, providing an even higher perch
for the vigilant Imperial Guardsmen. The city gates are made of solid
blue-steel and swing easily on well-oiled hinges. Painted in the middle
of the gates is the symbol of the Jade Empire, a bengal tiger crouching
as it moves through a field of reeds.
