Entrance to the Llzazan Mushroom Groves
Thousands of mushrooms tower high overhead here, their stalks extending to
as much as 60 feet above the cavern floor. The caps of these mushrooms must
be at least twenty feet across and weigh hundreds of pounds. Smaller
mushrooms grow in colonies around the base of these great mushrooms, making
footing somewhat treacherous through the forest as they obscure the ground.
To the north, the Great Llzazan Lake extends across the great cavern here.
To the south, the cavern wall abruptly falls from a great height obscured
by the mushroom canopy.

On Llzazan Lake
The lake bends form west to north here as it skirts the northern end of
the giant mushroom groves. To the east and south giant mushrooms rise high
above the lakes surfacxe dropping spore balls that slowly float to the
surface of the lake. The lakes surface was still until it was disturbed by
some morons who decided to explore its surface.

Northwest Shore of the Great Llzazan Lake
The lake is very still and calm here. It reflects the ceiling of the
cavern perfectly as the dim veins of durithalite glowing there trace out
a web on the water. The city gates of Arachdrathos lie a bit to the north
of the lakeshore and the lake continues to the south and east. Tall
mushrooms tower above the southern side of the lake.

The Great Llzazan Lake
The lake continues form west to east here, or east to west depending
on the particular point of view of the observer. To the north there is a
narrow swath of pasture before the Llzazan cavern terminates at a wall.
To the south, a huge stand of giant mushrooms towers overhead, reaching
nearly halfway to the cavern ceiling.

On the Great Llzazan Lake
The lake here is very clear, very smooth and very cold. Strange hollow
echoes reverberate across the water, causing tiny ripples in the water's
surface. To the north a festering beach loaded with rothe excrement travels
between the cavern wall and the lake. To the south there is a dense mushroom
grove.

On the Lake Near the Rothe Fields
The Lake continues to the west, east, and south. To the north it is
replaced by a pasture of lush yellow fungus. The water here is very clear
and very cold. Small ripples are formed by the echoing of strange sounds
across the water. The auditory experience here is quite unreal, very
hollow and reminiscent of one of the finer effects of eating the mildly
toxic mushrooms of Vlan A'halor.

Northeast Corner of the Great Llzazan Lake
The lake here extends to the west and south, expanding towards a grove of
giant mushrooms, some of which seem to tower almost a hundred feet overhead.
The water here is very still, very clear and very cold. High overhead the
ceiling of this cavern glows dimly with a rich quantity of durithalite,
reflecting softly on the water in the darkness.

Rothe Pasture on the Lakeshore
The turf here is quite soggy as it gently slopes into the Great Llzazan
Lake. It is hard to put a clear distinction on where pasture ends and lake
begins. The rothe dont seem to mind however, as excrement litters both the
fungus turf and floats on top of the water. To the north and east the
pasture continues. To the south and west the lake deepens.

Southeast Corner of the Rothe Pasture
The fungus here is cropped very short to the ground uniformly, providing
the cavern floor with a soft spongy turf. It also very rich in the
concentration of the low fungus, feeding off the highly nutritious substrate
that is both fertilized by rothe excrement and svirfneblin flesh. Bones of
gnome and cow alike are scattered through the plush turf.

Rothe and mushroom timbers are dragged through this tunnel as they are
harvested for slaughter and processing. The floor here is heavily coated
with rothe crap and mushroom particles, both of which were left behind in
the transit of these goods into the ghetto. The road ends abruptly to the
west as it reaches the rothe pasture.

Outside the Reading Rooms
To the east ther eis an odd buliding, fashined out of rock from Concordant
Opposition. The room is a room of peace and quiet reading, where any Drow may
catch up on the news of the day without being hassled by the almost ever
present threat of death. The Llzazan Road continues to the North and South.

The road here bends form north to west as it travels through the Lower

it a soft surface. The stench accompanying this odd surfacing however is
not as pleasant.

ceiling. Many rotten pieces of mushroom timbers litter the road as well as

The road here comes out of a hole in the cave floor to travel to the east.
The floor here is littered with rothe excrement and pieces of mushroom,
giving the floor a certain bouncy spongyness. Footprints disrupt the putrid
carpet of muck, especially along the northern wall of the cave. The road
continues towards the manufacturing distric to the east.

A Bend on the Great Llzazan Road
The road here bends form west to north as it travels between the farms
and the manufacturing district. There is a generous piling of excement and
fungus fragments on the road here, making for some rather unusual footing.
The stench here is also quite unusual and there is very little positive
that can be said about this road.

the Llzazan Farms. To the east, it climbs up towards the manufacturing
district of the Llzazan Ghetto. The floor here is covered with mushroom
chips and rothe manure, showing the typical nature of traffic through this
part of the ghetto.

The road here continues from a hole in the cave ceiling. There is a thick
coating of fungus chips and rothe dung on the ground here, and some
footprints have tracked through it, especially near the south wall of the
cave. Flecks of durithalite dimly illuminate this section of the road,
allowing just enough light for drow eyes, but way too little for any creature
of the surface.

The road drops through a hole in the cavern floor here as it heads towards
the rothe farms and mushroom groves. There is obvious use of this part of the
cave for the transport of mushroom timbers as chips of mushroom trunks
litter the floor. Also it seems that rother are brought through here as well,
since there is enough fecal evidence of the cattle on the ground here. The
road contineus to the east.

district of the Ghetto to the Farms. Evidence of the transit of mushroom
stalks and rothe is readily available as a combination of fungus chips and
rothe feces make up the floor of the cavern here. To the east the road
continues towards the manufacturing distric. To the west, it heads towards
the farms.

The road her ebends form north to west as it travels through the
manufacturing district of the Llzazan Ghetto. To the west side of this
cavern there is a large Rothe Prcessing Facility, and to the east there is
a mushroom Timber treatment facility. The road enters a tunnel to the west
as it heads towards the farms.

above. To the east and west there are large structures, both carrying
conspicuous smells. After a breif nasal comparison it is clear the building

floor. The old armor and weapons shops are to the west and east, barely
distinguishable from the other piles of rubble these drow of the Llzazan
Ghetto pass off for houses. To the north, the cave opens up a bit more as
it approaches barter way.

The Llzazan Road
This road winds through the lowest of the drow settlements, the Llzazan
ghetto. It is here the working drow take refuge from the tyrant lords of
the Houses of Arachdrathos. The street is littered with rubble as buildings
made of stone and mushroom timbers crumble under the relentless pressures
of age. The road runs north and south here and there are stone houses to
both the east and west. A sign saying 'Rothe Reapers' is prominently attached
to the western building.

A Formerly Elegant Intersection
This is the intersection of the Llzazan Road and Barter Way. Here at this
intersections the Elders of House Llzazan met to decide the fate of their
house. It was here where many a battle plan was amde and many plot twisted.
Now it is merely a simple street intersection surrounded by a few archaic
stone columns and rubble of an domed ceiling. The roads continue in all
cardinal directions from here.

On Barter Way
This road is the main, and virtually only center of commerce in the
Llzazan Ghetto. The few remaining shopkeepers here try to eke out a living
by selling second rate items at exceptionally high prices. The road is
littered with refuse, broken mushroom timbers and rocks that have fallen
from the partially collapsed shops on the north and south sides of the road.

The Tavern of the Decapitated Dwarves
Long ago, before the fall of House Llzazan to the combined Houses of
Arachdrathos, this portion of the Llzazan Caverns was the site of a great
battle, where Drow and Dwarf clashed over rich Durithalite deposits in
the area. It was where this tavern now stands, that a contingent of Llzazan
house nobles captured and executed a large band of Dwarven prisoners.
Fourteen skulls are bolted to the west wall of this taverrn, directly above
the bar. These fourteen skulls are the decapitated heads of the Dwarves the
Llzazan Nobles siezed on that day. This odd shrine to drow battle prowess
makes the Tavern of the Decapitated Dwarves one of the few sources of pride
for the downtrodden people of the Llzazan Ghetto.
