The first thing you notice is the incredible heat radiating from the large
furnace. Very little is made from wood in this building. The walls and even
the ceilings are made from slabs of obsidian and are held together with by a
creative system of steel shafts and beams. The floor is covered with a thick
layer of soot, a byproduct of the red-hot coals inside the furnace. The steel
poles that support the walls also have hooks attached, from which hang the
diverse array of merchandise this facility produces. A large and very beautiful
display case sits against the far wall.

Foundry of the Iron Hammer
This room is really quite large and seems to have
been designed to allow dozens of artisans and metal
workers to gather around a central furnace. The floors
and walls are all made of a heat resistant obsidian
flagstone. The roof is very tall and has center shaft
that climbs skyward, providing excellent ventilation
for the sulfurous fumes that constantly billow out
from the furnace. There are also a large number of
anvils that are seemingly unoccupied. This place
is definitely the perfect place for someone who is
looking to tinker around and forge new equipment.
