==RULES==
*1.Creating rules for an online multiplayer MUD is complicated. It's impossible
for us to devise a comprehensive set of written rules that regulate all possible
in-game events. In that regard, Duris staff members may use their own discretion
to determine that, in the context of the situation in which the impugned act
occurred, staff intervention or even punishment is warranted.
Our primary goal is to deter and to prevent players from engaging in unreasonable
game conduct against other players or against the MUD itself. This includes
doing something which contravenes the spirit of our rules -- something
that appears not to break the strictly written word of the rules, yet is still
unbalanced or unfair. In other words: if you do something cheesy,
you will be punished!
Things that deserve punishment include (but are not limited to):
Gaining epics through dubious means (camping an epic stone, abusing a broken
quest, quaffing epic bottles when they give more epics than they cost to buy, etc),
hacking someone's character, keeping a character rented / camped / voided
somewhere to use as a port target, doing anything that you need a new IP for, etc.
Logging !risk, !frag alts to gain advantage in pvp is cheaty. If we see it you will
lose gear, frags and maybe a level (s). Be warned this is 100% at our discretion.
Be sure to check help rules often as these rules are subject to change, ignorance
of the rules is not a defense, and it does not amuse the admin. So, do not test our
lack of patience.
*2. Rude players WILL be ignored, silenced and/or punished.
*3. Any attempt to blackmail or otherwise extort an Immortal will be punished.
==RAID==
*1. Incessant whining, complaining and the use of rude language is not tolerated. This will get you silenced for as long as it takes you to learn your lesson.
==MULTIPLAYING AND BOTTING==
*1. You are never allowed to have more than one character in the game at the same time.
No exceptions.
*2. You may not log on an opposite side racewar character for ONE hour after logging off.
*3. You may NOT transfer equipment from one racewar side to the other.
*4. "Botting" is prohibited. See help robots for clarification on the definition of a bot.
**Please note that this rule does not reference things like 'poke for heal' triggers or triggers designed to rebuff teammates mid-fight. We are not out to punish people for having to get up to attend to other business mid zone. It happens. however, if you are planning to afk frequently during a zone or play from work and want to set up a trigger to make sure you don't get left behind while you're not at keys (stand triggers, enter portal etc), your safest bet is to give a heads up to the admins.**
As with all rules, the decision to discuss/warn/punish individual infractions will be at the discretion of the admin on duty. Any questions?? ASK!
==GRIEFING==
*1. Do not be cheesy. Do not make an opposite racewar character from your primary playing side to
exact revenge in any way, shape or form. Keep the fight in its proper sandbox!
*2. PVP is to be expected on this mud, if someone pisses you off, kill them!
