The thick vegetation of this hidden forest pulls back revealing a small
clearing. The ground is open to the light from the sky, allowing the full moon
to illuminate the entire area at least once a month. A statue has been erected
at the center of the clearing and the path leads back, into the claustrophobic
embrace of the forest, to the west.
A soothing aura fills the area.

The forest has been brought to bay by someone's labor and hard work. Unruly
foliage and ancient boles have been removed, and the ground has been leveled
and cleared of any large boulders. The lawn here is comprised of a thick crab-
grass which is kept short by grazing animals. The mists are still thick here,
despite being agitated by the breeze that this small clearing provides. A worn
cottage, framed with teakwood beams and faced in wattle and daub, resides to
the south of the clearing. A small shingle hangs from the soffet just off the
side of the building's entrance.

Teakwood beams frame the whole of the inn, with limewashed walls of wattle
and daub. Any odor the walls might once have carried are masked by the scents
of an active and lively inn. Nestled against the southern wall, next to a set
of stairs that lead up to the rooms, sits a counter behind which resides the
fat innkeep. A woodframe arch leads into a lounge to the east, while a large
stone fireplace occupies the western wall. To the north, a teakwood door leads
out to the forest beyond.

Within a Cozy Common Room
Taking up much of the first floor of the Teakwood Pygmy, this lounge sports
a bar running along the southern wall. While a small fireplace burns in the
room to the west, a larger slatestone hearth has been built into the northern
wall of this room to keep the customers nice and toasty on the colder nights.
Four stout chairs of oak are aligned about the fireplace, while an equal set
of oak stools sit before the teakwood bar. The rest of the inn lies through
the arch to the west.

and over the depths of the valley below, the pellucid brume moving as if of its
own volition. Strange and throaty cries reverbate through the area, seeming to
emanate from all directions. The trail continues to the north, east, and
south.

A Promontory over the Misty Chasm
The trail comes to a halt at this promontory, which overhangs the deep chasm
below. The edge of the chasm wraps around the entire ledge, the frothy mist
obscuring the actual border between solid ground and a deathly fall. Trees can
be seen across the chasm, but little can be seen of what lies in the depths of
the rift. A thick vine has been tied to a half-buried boulder and thrown over
the side of the cliff. Looking over the western edge, it is possible to make
out a ledge some distance below. The trail exits the area to the east.

The Beginning of a Rope Bridge Over a Misty Chasm
Constructed of coiled hemp rope, this bridge spans the great chasm that cuts
through the area. The bridge consists of two rope handrails and a single rope
footpath, moored into the cliffside by dual wood stakes. The mist below curls
in its writhen dance, moving languidly over hidden landscapes. The scent of
pollen and moist air moves in from the forests flanking the ravine, mingling
with the eerie wails that rise up through the haze. The bridge continues to
the east and west.

Consisting of two rope handrails and a single rope footpath, moored into
the cliffside by dual wood stakes. The bridge is constructed of coiled hemp
rope and spans the clouded ravine that lies below. Pollen and moist air wafts
in from the forests surrounding the rift, mingling with the eerie wails that
reverbate up through the haze. The mist below swirls over the landscape like a
caustic potion in a cauldron. The bridge continues to the east and west.

Before a Bridge Spanning the Misty Chasm
The thick forest comes to an abrupt halt against the sharp drop of a chasm
wall. Milky mists flow off the edge and over the depths of the valley below,
its translucent white form seeming to move of its own accord. Exotic cries
echo throughout the skies, rolling in from all directions. The dirt path has
worn away to the granite of the cliffs, the treeline allowing only a portion
of the ground to be visible and possible for movement. Seeming to ooze from
the forest sides, flowers of all kinds and colorations grow one atop the other.
The trail continues to the north and a rope bridge spans out to the east, over
the chasm.

A Bend Along a Misty Chasm
A steep chasm causes the forest to cease its advance, the hard granite of
the cliff making for a very poor growth medium. Seeming to ooze from the sides
of the forest, flowers of all hues and variations grow one atop the other. The
footpath has been worn away to the stone of the cliffs, the vegetation allowing
only a section of the ground to be navigable. Thick mists flow off the cliff
and over the depths of the valley below, the pellucid brume moving as if of its
own volition. Strange and throaty cries reverbate through the area, seeming to
emanate from all directions. The trail continues to the south and west.

This thickly vegetated forest is shrouded in deep mists, the humidity and
heat of the area making it a veritable rainforest. Vibrant flora covers the
ground, its strange and bright flowers becoming less defined through the thick
white fog that perpetually hangs low under the foilage. Vines creep up the
trees that flank the small dirt footpath that meanders through these dark
sylvan expanses. The path continues to the east and west, while a thatch of
brambles blocks the way to the north.

of the area making it a veritable rainforest. Brilliant flowers cover the
ground, their peculiar and intense colors fuzzed through the thick filter of
the mists that perpetually weave low under the foilage. Vines creep up the
dark trunks that flank the small dirt footpath that meanders through these
deep sylvan expanses. The path continues to the north, east, and south.
