The Center Of The North Wall
This is the exact opposite side of the gladiator's entrance. A stairway
winds upwards in the north wall to a locked door. A laurel symbol decorates
this door indicating that it is for the victor to ascend. During the games the
Champion is let out last and must return with his medallion to leave the
arena. Should he fall in battle, the last alive takes the prize and ascends
these stairs to where one of the councelor's bestows the laurels upon them.
This freedom is for only the last standing which is apparent as a stream of
blood flies by from the east.

This wall seems to keep all the "contestants" caged in quite effectively.
Twenty foot walls of sheer obsidian are enough to make even the stoutest of
hearts to falter. For without the aid of a catapult and a suicidal attitude
escape into the stands seems out of the question. Along the edges blood
droplets and ropes have been sprayed in deeper black lines on the walls
themselves.

A small dune has formed in the sand here. Whether that is from the
wind whistling through the caves endlessly and gently caressing the surface is
not apparent. What is apparent however is that burial is not something done
by the caretakers. When a contestant falls in combat to another here
they are covered lightly with sand and left to their end. Just as likely as
not the dune is an oversized gladiator left without proper burial.
