This steep, precarious staircase leads down into darkness. Air is getting
thin, and the humidity wafting in from below is almost unbearable. The vile
stench of death is all around, and maniacal laughter periodically fills the
area. Care must be taken whilst descending this staircase, because it is easy
to fall down here, and there is no telling what will be waiting at the bottom.
