A Winding Path
A winding pathway leads leads into a dark forest. On either side of the path
are large, dark brown bushes, full of sickly yellow thornes. Towering far
overhead are the lowest branchs of the forest canopy, oddly they are all
covered with what appears to be spiderwebs. Every exposed branch and trunk
are covered with midnight black vines. The pathway leads into darkness.

Inside the Southern Gate
A tall wooden fence surrounds the town of Split Shield to keep out
invaders and warring tribes. Watch towers are posted all around the
fence allowing full view of the surrounding area including the path up
to the town. From inside the walls, the sounds of everyday life come
pouring into the woods, driving away the wildlife.
