Higher Atop the Mountain
This is a faint trail leading up the central mountain on the
Savannah. There isn't much vegetation up here, just a few sparse
shrubs trying desperately to grow in the rocky, heat-scorched
enviorment. Birds of all kinds can be seen flying about the area,
most likely the majority of them having nests here. The higher
up one climbs the more of the Savannah can be seen scretching
out below. Near the top the view becomes so amazing, one needs
to almost stop and take a look around in quiet awe.

A Herd of Goats Atop the Foothills
The path up the mountain breaks here into a sizable plataeu,
large enough to allow a small family of goats enough room to enjoy
themselves in the sun and chew on whatever is readily available.

The goats wail in their usual goat-type manner as anyone approches.

The path up the foothills continues up here at a fairly steady
incline. As it follows upwards the rest of the mountain can clearly
be seen. The vegetation becomes much more sparse the further up
one climbs, and the rocky earth inhabits only the most durable
plants that are capable of living in the hard soil and scorching
sun. The goats seem to gather around this area more than the other
parts of the foothills, seemingly due to the increase of vegetation
as the path opens up to a small plataeu just above.

A Path Leading Away From the Savannah
This path leads away from the Savannah through a small break in
the usually unpassable rock that surrounds the majority of the plains.
Though the terrain is still the same of that within the Savannah it
appears that not far off the path becomes a well-used road. Though
the odd animal can still be seen scurrying about, the regular
Savannah wildlife doesn't seem to wander any further than this
point.

A Change in Terrain
The path changes here from the hard, sun-baked Savannah soil to a
well-used gravel road. The road runs the length from the Savannah
to the small village of Desolate and is quite popular with wagon
trains and caravans as well as just the usual band of travellers.
Though the journey is quite long, it is relatively safe, and many
adventurers perfer travelling along this route other than through
the wilderness, especially after dark, as the closer one gets to
Desolate, the number of patrols keeping an eye out for the forces
of evil greatly increase.

The Road to Desolate
The terrain changes again here, becoming a much more defined
gravel road. Though the birds above still caw noisily and float
lazily on the warm air currents, the remainder of the Savannah
wildlife has all but dissappeared. Up ahead on the winding road
actual trees can be seen growing from the quickly becoming soft
soil, and not just the palms and cacti so common within the
Savannah.

The Road to Desolate
The road to Desolate continues here, though is just the begining
compared to the length of the journey. The road increases in quality
the further one gets away from the Savannah, most likely due to the
lack of animals around that can trample a pathway. There is a small
group of humans standing here, watching the skies intently, as if
waiting for something to come down and pick them up. Looking up,
nothing can be seen other than the odd flock of birds and the still
serenity of the Savannah sky.

Gregory is an elderly human who has served Markam for most of his
life. He is sagely and wise and often scolds the Magistrate for
doing things that one of his stature should not normally be doing.
Gregory has chided Markam on numerous occassions for hanging out
with the Hunters and travelling the world other than taking care
of his duties home in Myrabolus. He stands here now, waiting for
something, possibly Markam himself onboard the Sunweaver.
Gregory appears to be Human and is in excellent condition.
He's medium in size.
He is glowing with holiness!
