This home is much nicer furnished than most of the others within
in the village, and it seems to have built with much more care.
Though it isn't a two storie house, like the mayor's, it is quite
large, and makes a comfortable home for the local blacksmith and

Here lies the central fountain of Desolate. It acts as a sort
of landmark for those new to the city, and for those who have been
at the Lustful Logger too long and are having a hard time finding
their way home. The log wall that is built around the city is
just to east, and runs parallel the road that runs north and south
from here. Main Street leads back to the gates, heading to the
west. The fountain's water flows crisp and clean here, providing
drinking water to the entire population. The designs etched on the
marble seem to be of elven origin.

This is the Desolate Market Place. It is one of the busier
locations within the village, and just as the Lustful Logger pub
gets the majority of the citizens of Desolate, the market place
gets very many tourists, delegates, and adventurers. Most everyone
will stop by the market place at least once during a trip to
Desolate, even just to browse the vendors. Rare items from all
over the world often end up here and most of the time the merchants
themselves don't even know what they are trying to sell. These
vendors are legendary for their bartering skills, and from far

The Desolate Barracks
This is the barracks of Desolate, where most the members of the
militia come to sleep and eat when they aren't working. The regulars
that come here are usually the lower ranking soldiers, as the
more important members of the militia have their own homes some
where within the village. The room has several bunks in it, each
with two beds. A large table serves as a place where the men
gather to eat thier meals sits in the center of the room. The
door to the east leads back out to Royal Oak Way.

A Commoner's Dwelling
This is just a simple commoners dwelling. Though each of them
are furnished differently, they all offer the same basic layout and
build. They all have been constructed solid oak, and lie just off
the road. Most of the citizens that live here in these dwellings
are loggers, and come home only to sleep, as most of their leisure
time is spent at the Lustful Logger. The furnishings are usually
kept to a minimum, as there isn't that much room, despite that fact
though, most of the commoners of Desolate are quite happy with each
of their homes.
