A Path Around the Foothills
   Over many years of adventurers travelling to this region a pathway
has formed that encircles the central mountain.  Travellers have
longed hoped for a easier route up the mountain, or perhaps to
find new tunnels leading into the treasure rooms of the Pits of
Cerberus with no luck and the route up the mountain remains to be
full of dangers for the unskilled.  North and south of here are
unpassable mountains, the path continues east and west.

Within the Savannah of Sorrow
   Along the northern edge of the Savannah the sounds of both the
wildlife and the adventurers around this area reach an almost
deafening cresendo.  Squawks from all sorts of birds, the chatter
of the smaller animals, the yaps from the dogs all mingle together
almost musically.  North is impassable, east continues the path
way around the central mountain, to the south a group of wemics
are hunting, and just to the west lies an infamous Pit.

A Hunting Ground Within the Savannah of Sorrow
   This area of the Savannah is currently being used by a small
group of nomadic wemics for hunting.  As the Savannah is host to
many different types of wildlife, it is also used by many races
and cultures of the more intelligent speices in the world for
sources of food, clothing, and tools, all of which either come
from the wildlife or around the area.  The wemics here will
most likely hunt for several days then move on to another
location with their supplies replenished.
