   This pathway has been worn into the rock and earth, running down to the
center of town, and up to the western gates. A few buildings line the path,
but they don't become really dense until you get into the heart of the
stronghold. The view is majestic from this trail, overlooking the stronghold
and the rest of the valley. The great peaks of the Rigmorak mountain range
surround Kimordril, keeping it well hidden and safe.

Above an Enclosed Valley
   Just outside of the stronghold walls, a vast, completely enclosed valley
can be seen below, to the east. Using the naturally formed walls of the
mountains here, the stronghold is relatively safe from danger, and is
hidden well. To the north a flat plain can been seen where animals are
grazing. Below, buildings and streets fill the area of the valley, where
dwarves live, work, play and sleep. Above to the west, walls carved from
the stone of the mountains lie, rising high above Kimordril.

Inside the Gates of Kimordril
   Massive stone arches are high overhead, running to and from each of
the inner and outer gate towers. Solid stone bricks have been laid here
in brilliant designs, and set perfectly and evenly, creating a level
surface. The bricks are the color of gold and black, with the hammer and
mountain insignia of Kimordril. Huge gates lie to the west and east,
made of stone and set in with great skill, making them open and close
easily, but able to withstand an attack from an army of giants when
closed and blocked. To the north and south are two small rooms for
the guards to stay in for shelter.

   Huge, stone gates and two stone towers are here, cut from the very
stone of the mountains. The majestic workmanship can only be dwarven,
for it is awe inspiring and magnificent. The ground is a perfectly level
stone surface. To the south, a cliffside continues, but the plateau stops,
dropping down to the base of the mountain. This small area has been made,
just like the stone towers and gates. Dwarven runes depicting the history
of the stronghold cover the gates, made perfectly with hammer and chisel.
